Rosiland Solomon began her studies in Life Energies of the physical and subtle bodies and its manipulation in one form or another, in 1972, when she first studied Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan in San Francisco. Rosiland studied Tai Chi Short Form, Sword, and Push Hands with Winslow Rouse, student of Choy Kam Man, for three years before becoming his teaching assistant, and instructing with him in the Bay Area over the next three years. Rosiland continued teaching private students Tai Chi over the next two decades. In 1984,she added onto her Energy studies by receiving a series of Empowerments for Sirius School Energy with Alan Duerrstein, a spiritual acupuncturist, in Los Angeles. Rosiland began private Energy healing practice in 1987. In 2000-2001, she studied Jin Shin Do with Ruth Scolnick. Jin Shin Do is a Chinese/Japanese/American hybrid of acupressure and energy work. It was first developed by Iona Teegarden in the 70's (Ruth was one of her first students). Rosiland obtained her CMT, specializing in Jin Shin Do. |

At this time Rosiland combines her more formal studies with decades of personal research and experience in common sense nutritional healing and food preparation, homeopathy and herbs, simple breathing techniques, lifestyle analysis, and her own exercise routines, including her own method of teaching Tai chi. Although she normally works with individual clients, Rosiland is open to working with small groups. This might be particularly effective for instruction in Tai Chi Movements, where several movements are combined in sequence to music and repeated, as opposed to doing the whole Short Form. This allows for drop-in instruction, where students unable to attend sequential classes are not at a disadvantage. |
